💭 Beads, Influence, and a Soft Rebellion: Why I Don't Want To Be That Kind of Influencer

Influencer.

It used to be a word that meant something. That carried weight. That hinted at change, guidance, responsibility. But today?

Now it's often linked to free hotel stays, flashy lifestyles, and curated feeds — not impact.

But I believe it's time to take that word back.

Because being an influencer doesn’t have to mean selling skincare or showing off outfits. It can mean something softer, something deeper — something that actually shapes the world for the better.

When I created Squisharoo, I didn’t do it to chase trends.

I did it because I know what it feels like to pick your skin when you’re anxious. To fidget when your brain is overloaded. To need something soft in a hard world.

And here’s where my favourite metaphor comes in:

🫧 Beads.
The beads inside my squishies don’t stay in one place, as annoying as it is — they move, they shift, they reach corners you never expected.

That’s how I want to influence the world.

Not with perfection.
But with presence.
With something small, but powerful.
With calm, healing, and hope — spreading out quietly, gently, just like those beads.

I may not be the kind of influencer who gets free hotel rooms.

But I want to be the kind of voice that uplifts humanity.

That helps people calm their bodies.

That rewrites the future for our children.

That makes softness louder than fear.

Not really sure how, but a little squishy can go a long way.

So if you’ve ever felt like your voice wasn’t loud enough or your actions didn’t matter — remember: even a single bead in the right hands can start a ripple.

Let’s be the new kind of influencers.
Let’s make change feel squishy.
